What is a mesocycle? In simple terms, a mesocycle is a certain amount of time you spend following an exercise program. How long does a mesocycle last? A mesocycle can last anywhere from just a few weeks to several months. Does a mesocycle have a specific purpose?

Yes, it does. A mesocycle is usually used to define a very narrow training objective. For example, if your fitness goal is to increase your muscle mass by 5 pounds in two months, that would be a mesocycle. The same applies to strength training or any other fitness goal.
